Experience & Work

Research, policy analysis, and educational initiatives that bridge academic rigor with community wisdom, centering justice and equity in approaches to social change.

01

Cultural Fatigue Mapping

Expat students quietly experience identity fatigue. Students anonymously map: Where they feel they have to "perform" identity. Where they feel invisible, Where they feel at home. For this independent project, I researched and shared findings on identity fatigue experienced by Expat students. I analyzed factors of belonging, performance and visibility to identify emotional and mental fatigue.

Why It Matters

This project aimed to address something that I personally experienced – the emotional fatigue after moving constantly. The emotional toll of adjusting to a new place, new culture and new people affects your ability to focus on work or school immediately. My project served as a call to action for institution-wide empathy systems in place for expat students.

Moawin Foundation

Moawin Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving humanity through meaningful social welfare initiatives. The foundation works to support underprivileged communities by promoting care, compassion, and sustainable development.

Why It Matters

This experience showed me the grassroot reality of the public or government education sector, something that I hope to be involved in the future as well. It showed me the intersection between public policy-making and the impacted sectors.

02

AI Literacy Initiative

My AI Literacy Initiative aimed to spread awareness about unethical AI use. For this, I researched and led workshops on Implicit Bias in AI to over 700+ individuals. I also helped write school guidelines on AI Ethics, which was then adopted by 3 departments.

Why It Matters

Technology refracts the world. Learning how to work with and within these systems is more than learning their function, it’s learning who they serve, who they cast aside, and who they render anonymous. This project aimed to empower individuals to examine their relationship with AI use more carefully.

05

Invisible Labor

My work with Moawin Foundation was at a public-sector school in Islamabad where I supported admin, assisted teachers and engaged students. During this, I was also involved in education-support initiatives addressing operational constraints in govt. schools.

Why It Matters

This project aimed to create frameworks that recognize emotional and cognitive labour as work, and helped create systems which acknowledge this unseen labor as real work.

04

HRCP Drone Strike Research

A focused research project analyzing the impact of drone strikes on civilian populations. Involved data collection, case study analysis, and presenting findings to highlight human rights concerns and support advocacy efforts. Demonstrates strong research and analytical skills.

Why It Matters

My research aimed to centre human narrative on the topic of traditional technological warfare – something often only seen through numbers and statistics. It helped bring attention to the ethics regarding the impact of warfare on lived experience.

PIDE Policy Briefs

Pakistan Institute of Development Economics
As a Youth research contributor, I assisted research on social inequality, urban migration, or technology & labor. I also helped conduct data collection, policy briefs, and public seminars. This project aimed to provide insight on the intersection between existing economic frameworks and how they impact or affect urban inequality.

Why It Matters

My research aimed to centre human narrative on the topic of traditional technological warfare – something often only seen through numbers and statistics. It helped bring attention to the ethics regarding the impact of warfare on lived experience.
